Dispelling the myths that Japanese food is difficult has long been my personal mission, and now it’s Fused’s mission too! From the start I’ve strived to achieve this through cooking classes, my cookbook and media appearances.

In particular I’ve always grasped opportunities to appear on television with two hands. Live cookery demos on TV reach a wide audience and to show people exactly how simple Japanese cooking can be. My time as resident cook on Virgin Media One has time and time again given me a brilliant platform.

In September 2016, I joined presenters Simon Delaney and Tommy Martin for a live cookery demo on the Saturday AM Show. I prepared my Yakisoba Stir-fry recipe, a popular dish at Japanese street food festivals. We had lots of fun with Simon and Tommy getting involved along the way.
