Gilmar's Homemade Burger

My husband Gilmar's Homemade Burger recipe is always a hit in our house. With just a few simple ingredients it has heaps of flavour. Add what you like to fill your burger. You can also enjoy this with boiled rice and steamed vegetables

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Fused soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp passata
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 300 g good quality beef mince
  • Few handfuls panko or regular breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • Vegetable oil

To Serve

  • 4 buns
  • Ketchup
  • 1 tomato sliced
  • 4 slices edam cheese
  • 4 slices pickles
  • 4 salad leaves

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 180C
  • Mix the soy sauce, passata and honey sauce in a large bowl. Add the beaten egg, beef mince and panko and mix well together.
  • Using your hands shape the meat mix into burger patties. This should make 4 or 5 depending on the size.
  • Brush the baking tray and burgers with vegetable oil. Put the burgers on the baking tray and place in the preheated oven.
  • Cook for about 25 minutes, turning only once during this time.
  • Serve in a bun with tomato, salad leaves, pickles and cheese.

Notes

TIPS:
You can also enjoy this with boiled rice and steamed vegetables
